SCA SCHOOL NEWS 

Please keep Patrick Ferguson and Regina Schoeberl in your prayers. 

Patrick Ferguson has received good news on his last PET scan and is ready to move on to his next phase of treatment. Thank you for your powerful prayers.

 

Congratulations to Ben, Wayden, Maggie and Jack for being this week’s Charge On winners.

 

Congratulations to Maeve Doherty for winning this year’s Fire Prevention and Public Safety Coloring Book contest sponsored by the Oak Lawn Fire Department.  She has won a ride to school on a fire truck!

 

Thank you to Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. Lombardo and their committee for a very successful St. Baldrick’s event.  We raised over $44,000 to fight pediatric cancer!!!

Keep The Dream Alive Raffle Tickets

We have  $100 raffle tickets for sale in the school office.

 First prize $75,000, two $5,000 prizes, two $2,000 prizes and three $1,000 prizes.

The Keep the Dream Alive Raffle Drawing is May 12th, 2019 after the 11:00 a.m. Mass. Early Bird Raffle drawing on April 12  after 8:00 p.m. at the Fish Fry for three $1,000 prizes.

 Only 2000 tickets sold.

Winner need not be present. Please make checks payable  to Saint Catherine of Alexandria.

Adoration

Please join on Wednesdays (starting March 13th) at 2:00 pm for Eucharistic Adoration in the Adoration Chapel (10600 S. Karlov). Spend some time with Jesus before picking your kids up from school! Little children are welcome too. The Chapel will not be open if school is not in session.

Gym Shoes

Please review our policy for acceptable school shoes.  Shoes may only be red, black, gray or white.  Shoes with any other colors are not permitted.

 

School Shoes:

-Gym shoes may be black, red, white or gray or a combination of those colors.  Shoes with any other visible colors are not permitted.  Shoelaces are to be black, red, white or gray.

--Hard sole black or brown dress school shoes may be worn for classes with the exception of the student’s gym day.  Moccasins, clogs, platform shoes, light up shoes or plastic shoes will not be permitted  Snow, hiking, cowboy boots or other forms of outdoor footwear are not permitted in classes. If it is necessary to wear the above-mentioned items to school because of weather conditions, they must be exchanged for school shoes before class.
