2019-2020 Paperwork

Paperwork for next school year was sent home in today’s white envelopes.  It can also be accessed in the virtual envelope.

 

1st Day School Supply Kits

School supply kits can be ordered online now through June 15.  They will be available for pick-up on Packet Pick Up day in August.  Please direct questions to Maria Taylor at mataylor@huronconsultinggroup.com or 630-888-9269.

Welcome Ms. Owens

Our new principal, Ms. Owens, will be introduced to families and parishioners at

9:00 A.M. Mass on Sunday, June 2.  Hospitality will follow.  Your students had an opportunity to meet Ms. Owens on Tuesday. 

On June 2nd, please plan to join us at 9:00 mass or stop by Kane Hall before attending 11:00 mass. 

 

 

Calling all Carnival Volunteers!!

Without volunteers, the SCA Carnival would not be possible. It has been going strong into its 35th year and we would like to be able to continue its success. Our dedicated committee coordinators have begun their recruitment to fill all shifts needed to run the carnival- from serving food, to selling ride tickets, encouraging patrons to take a chance on paddles or pull tabs, or serving beer- all areas need volunteer support. We hope that you have already signed up to work a shift (or two) at the 2019 Carnival, but if you have not, please emailkellyjean1976@att.net and we will connect you with a volunteer opportunity.

We do ask our volunteers to consider the following to help insure our financial success and maximize financial support to the SCA school and parish:

  • Use the coupon provided by your committee coordinator to enjoy a complimentary hot dog, brat, beef/sausage sandwich, cheeseburger, or slice of pizza.  Draft beer will also be available to you during your shift; however, once your shift is over, we kindly ask that you purchase beer tickets.
  •   Please do not offer free food or beverage to any individuals.
  •   Please keep your eye out on the midway and report any suspicious behaviors or persons   to Security right away.

We hope to see you June 5-9!!

There will be an all school BINGO game at 5:30 pm on opening night of the carnival in the gym.  More information to follow!

 

ALTAR SERVER AVAILABILITY

Altar Server Availability forms were sent home last week and are attached below. Servers who do not turn in a sheet by Friday, May 24th will be assigned as available and will be responsible for finding their own substitutes.

Forms are going home today for New Servers who just completed training.Their form is due on Tuesday.

DIVE INTO GOD’S WORD

FAITH MEETS FUN

In Alexandria Center “God’s Sea of Love”

 Entering Grades K-5

Scripture, Crafts, Games, Songs, Snacks

July 15-19, 2019

9:30 am – Noon

Cost: $25 (Maximum $50 per family)

 

This will be a FUN week.  With our “under the sea” adventure and working together, children will learn to know God while “splashing” into an awesome experience.

 

Volunteer opportunities:  Grades 6, 7 & 8 “Deckhands” (Leaders)

Adults & High School:  “Sea Captains” supervisors or snack coordinators

 

We’re also looking for people who enjoy Arts and Crafts to help create the “under the sea” atmosphere a week before camp.
